We all know that shopping online is simply a new normal.  We are forced to do it because of mask laws and regulations that are put in place.  It has all been debunked in 2021 but the laws are in place because they give control to our government and revenue to our police.  There are some things that happen due to other things and these consequences are rather crazy when you look back on them.  Last year makes me hate our country.  The year is 2021, and it has been a wild ride so far.  The COVID-19 Pandemic has changed the United States’ entire economy and the consequences of shutdowns and working from home have really shifted the majority of our lifestyles. It is all over a complete lie as well.   I can only imagine all the things that have happened and fallen like dominoes, but one of the things is simply boxes that have been shocking.  what I mean is that the surplus of boxes has changed our entire economy and companies are completely shifting to an e-commerce economy.  That is because we are all really just shopping from home.  Now we are using boxes like candy and our recycling is not increasing.  

We all know that the cause of all these boxes is the reliance on e-commerce for our shopping. Most of us have no choice now and families are staying home more due to the COVID-19 pandemic and in many places, they have no choice but to shop online for many products.  The issue that is occurring is that now a massive amount of shipping supplies are building up in our garage.  Yes, we all have tons of extra cardboard boxes and they are truly driving me crazy.  The excess amount is sad because I do not like ordering all this extra cardboard and I do no like that it takes me forever to get rid of it properly. These boxes are getting trashed and not recycled.

It is sad to see the increase in waste and cost to our world.  We are not picking these items up from a store and carrying them in instead they are being delivered to our door in mass quantity. The sheer amount of shipping supplies being used that is beyond last year is insane.  The hard part is that people are just trashing them.  The landfills are getting much more full due to this and if only we were able to recycle it all it may not be so bad. But still, the issue is that they are in our possession and we are not doing anything good with them.  

Our family started using our hands to break down the boxes and fit them in the trashcan, but we couldn’t get very many in the can.   Then we used scissors as a better option and still the major issue was that it caused blisters on our hands so fast that it was not worth doing.  So finally we broke down and went to all the countries on them.  We pulled out a kitchen knife and started slicing the boxes down to the perfect shape to fill the whole can. Cutting them down and doing the right thing felt good. I hope you are able to do the same until we get our freedom back to shop like normal humans.
